Good morning,
I had my 6 weeks post injury OS appointment yesterday and I must say I am not impressed with their knowledge and protocol. I met with the OS for all of 5 minutes…he touched my foot, felt the Achilles area and said move your toes. He then said to continue with PWB and do [...]

Hello,
I started getting some pain in my achilles area last night. For weeks now there has been virtually no pain until now. Is this normal to have some pain pop up out of nowhere? It doesn’t last long, more like 15 second intervals.

Hello,
Just wondering why the OS didn’t put any wedges in my boot to keep my toes pointed slightly down. Anyone go straight into a boot at 90 degrees after a cast?
Thanks,
Isaac

Good morning,
Here is a quick update on my first day in the cam walker boot. First of all, when I was told to put my foot into the boot, I wasn’t able to put my heel all the way down into the boot. When I got to work after my appointment, I was able to [...]

Good afternoon all,
Today during my 4 week post injury appointment I had my cast removed and the doctor said my Achilles felt good and he said it looks like its building back up fine (non surgically). I was put in a cam walker boot and told to not bear weight still at first, but maybe [...]

Today is 4 weeks since my injury and nothing really new to report. I go in on Thursday the 12th for a 2nd cast to be put on with my foot brought to 90 degrees. I hope I am only in that cast for 2 weeks and also able to begin weight bearing. I [...]
