7 months in and finally feeling really good.  Running without pain.  Sure i have no real endurance, but I can do 3 miles without trouble.  The endurance will come, I’m sure.  Wearing pretty much any shoe I feel like, though with 5 inches of snow this morning, my options are limited. :)

All the best to those in recovery.  This too shall pass—and mostly you just have to put in the time and let it heal itself, doing what you can.  Best advice I ever got:  Do a little a lot, not a lot a little.

    How well you are doing!!

I had my op 1 day after you but I am miles (literally) behind you. Although I am improving but slowly, cannot even think about running, still just walking slowly.

So pleased that you are nearing normal, I too will eventually get there but it will just take me a little longer, but I will get there!!

    Good luck

eriedutchgirl - congrats on making great progress! 3 miles is pretty good. Are you running on the treadmill?
I love the advice. I am adding that to my list. :) Thanks, and post some pictures!

Running! This is great Eriedutchgirl! WOW. I”m jealous. I’m four months and just can do a squat and step ups with my trainer. Thanks for hope ….in just a couple of months I hope to be running at 10K (March!)

    Hi Erie,
Well done on the 3 mile mark. It just shows that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

    Jog on!
