Heels
Sang at a friends wedding this weekend in 2 inch heels. There was a point that I even forgot I had them on. But that might have been the gin and tonic. Still, felt great. One more step towards normalcy!

eriedutchgirl,
My anti-spam word for today is patience…..:) Congratulations on all the progress you have made and happy you were able to feel “normal” at your friends’ wedding! I can only imagine 2 inch heels….. I will be happy to be able to stand with both feet flat on the ground
Patience….
Marianne
U RULE. OMG. I’ve just done third wedding in the boot. At least this time I could dance (sorta).
Marianne - I just started standing with two BARE feet on the ground. Hurts like sh$t, but I’m doing it to get my foot used to it. Keep practicing. go bears.
Way to go Erie!
3 weeks behind you and feeling good as well…going to Nantucket for a 2-day tourney and actually think I’m going to play well..what a concept!?
Can u do a single legged calf raise yet?
Isn’t it great! We achilles veterans are coming around back to normal. I went for a two mile run this morning. Actually probably ran around 1 1/3 miles with the recovery walks every quarter mile or so. We are getting there…..cheers.
I am sooooooo jealous. I just went to a fancy social function on Thursday and had to wear THE ugliest shoes I have ever seen in my life. My closet is full of cute, sexy shoes I can’t wear. Sigh!!!!! Oh well, I am nine weeks behind you so I should be good for Christmas parties. Congratulation!!
eriedutchgirl - congrats! Glad to hear that you are doing well.
Heels?!?! Awesome! This weekend I finally wore something other than running shoes. Finally got the clear to run…ran a little less than a mile, with breaks of course. Doc said take it easy, and luckily I only had about 1/2 hour to workout at lunch. Man does it feel good to run!
Great to hear so many of us that got hurt around the same time are doing so well.

Ah, the joy of heels! I just laughed- so true, this is a milestone in our recovery.
I am waiting awhile to advance to the higher ones.
I am right behind you….wearing lower heels to work this week.
Good work, EDG!
