nerve damage from nerve bloxk

Today after 4weeks in a cast, 4 weeks in an armored boot and 6 weeks in a crisscrossed Velcro ankle brace I’m released to wear sandals. However I have plantar fasciata so need to work on stretching the sole tendons. I also found out that the burning numb nerve down the outside of my calf is nerve damage from the nerve block hit my peroneal nerve. So I just have to wait till it heals though the doc gave me Lyrical. Has anyone else experience nerve damage?

We’ve got a few folks here who’ve experienced sural nerve damage, including one who skipped the surgery and a few who didn’t. With luck, you’ll hear from them soon.

Are you rolling your foot over a ball to help with the fasciitis? I’m not sure exactly where the line si between plantar fasciitis and “God my heel is sore and tender!!” But a bunch of us post-ATR knew we had the latter and feared we had the former. For most of us it faded pretty steadily over a few days or a couple of weeks, and responded to rolling over a ball (while seated) and to various forms of coddling, like squishy gel insoles or squishy gel footwear, like Crocs.

I’ve only had one non-post-ATR heel spur (=~ fasciitis), and it did NOT go away that fast, so I think most of the post-ATR heel pains are something less serious.
