I don’t think anything big is wrong - probably the normal ups and downs of recovery, but my Achilles is definitely more sore today than anytime in the past 10 days. Could be that I worked some long days this week and my leg wasn’t raised enough. Definitely going to go easy on in it today and going to be a couch potato. Not good to do often, but once in a while it is good for the mind and this time hopefully for the Achilles.
Also, thought I that I would try out the WordPress app for my phone. It seems ok.

I too experienced some slight pain at the 4-6 week mark. It was more like a slight cramp in my calf muscle than pain. After reading more about the remodeling period I think this is attributed to some shrinking of the cells that have formed the repaired tendon. I’m certainly not a doctor but reading about how tissue such as a scar or tendon begins to shrink at the tail end of the healing process leads me to believe this is probably the culprit here.
I opted to go non-surgical. I’m in my 3rd cast (NWB) and will get the CAM boot next Weds. which will make 6 weeks in the cast (2 weeks each).

Hmmm…that makes sense. I do know that a weekend of mostly sitting on the couch with a raised leg and a good book in hand alleviated the ‘extra’ pain that I felt on Friday.
