Why Blog?

Injury is painful. Achilles tendon ruptures takes active people to a complete standstill. You try to get up and you fall. Hard. After my injury the first thing I did was go to the web. My fears were confirmed even before I arrived at the emergency room. How would I manage with two small children, a full time job, bills to pay, life to live?

It became clear that my life had changed and would likely never be the same. I found others on the web who were dealing with the same injury. They shared their stories, successes, failures, pains, and fears. One thing was common to all of them; they wanted to succeed and help other succeed.

This is where it started for me. A record of my journey in the hopes it will help someone else. Feel free to comment, ask questions, vent, get angry, smile, laugh, or cry. More than anything else, recover!

hey Michael ~ you’re right … life changing. Perfect word I didnt realize how much it would change my life until I left the hospital … and almost every day, I get a new reminder of how much it’s changed & how different life is when you have this injury & you’re in a cast & crutches … Only 2 weeks since surgery & its still pretty tough .. But, recovery is underway and that’s the important part .. Be Well
