The road to recovery is paved with kids toys
I’m getting much better at moving around with my flame covered crutches. That is until I encounter low lying kids toys on slippery hardwood floors. I love the kids but the toys are trying to kill me. Today it was a flying disk that was lurking in the shadows near the refrigerator. I planted my crutch and the moment I put my weight on it, the flying disk took off with me and my crutch in tow. Fortunately the counter was there to catch me. It is really hard at times like this, to not use the two perfectly good weapons that have been given to me by the doctors. I wanted so badly to swing with all my might and send that little flying disk into orbit. (I would have accepted the trash can as an alternative)

Haha! My kids are picking up pretty well, but the dog slobber after he drinks is a menace!
Dog slobber might be worse. I have found that rain can be a problem also. Here’s to being careful.
There’s more fun waiting in the wings, Michael! After you’re free to start walking barefoot, you’ll probably find that the bottom of your recovering foot is ultra-super-hypersensitive to stepping on anything that isn’t 100% clean flat floor or soft carpet — including (Yikes!) kids’ toys!!
I can hardly wait. Legos are the worst.
