10 Days Post-Op and I found this site. I’m a 32 year professional firefighter in NJ with 2 kids and a wife. I’m looking to rehab quickly and get back to my job. Physical capability is key factor in getting back to full duty. Anyway, first things first, get this cast off on 4/21.

I’ve got a buddy up your way whose a firefighter in Bayonne. From everything I’ve read, you’re going to need to be patient with the rehab. Don’t try to do too much too soon.

Colin - welcome to Achilles Blog, and I hope you find this site useful. Keep us posted on how the recovery is going, and be sure to read other’s post-op experiences as I think it’ll give you a good feel for what to expect in the coming weeks.
