Physical Therapy
Just checking in to see what the term of your physical Therapy has been like. I am currently 6 weeks in and have made great progress . The PT has been intense and painful, but has made a huge difference. Any comments on how much longer I can expect to continue PT? I am sure my Doc will tell me next week when I see him.
Happy healing all!

I’d say try to continue as long as it seems to be helping. My PT handed me over to a colleague when I was more ready for gym exercises than manipulation and high-tech gizmos. As it happened, I only took one session in the gym before I got bored and decided I could do almost all those exercises at home and while bicycling, etc. YMMV.

Mine started quite early at about 6 weeks, I went weekly for about 6-7 weeks then fortnightly until last week, next appt in 5 weeks as all I’ll be doing it the same physio exercise then I think as long as it’s ok that’ll be me done. It’s not 100% but I think the benefit of visiting the physio is negligable now as I can do the exercises myself. So I’d keep going for as long as you feel it’s helping. Carry on healing

My first PT visit wasn’t all that bad. Just a lot of stretching and tweaking my ankle to loosen it up the achilles. Yes I was sore the following morning, but after the first visit was all good.
I’m 2.5 years post op and feeling great. Run, walk, I stay active.
Good luck
