Oooooch!

Saw this while watching hockey on TSN this evening. It will be hard for anyone on this site to watch the video - I could only watch the replay once.
Maybe we should invite Karlsson to join our blog.

I heard on CBC Radio news today that a skate had cut his “Achilles Heel”(!). It’s not obvious to me that the best treatments for “normal” ATRs is also the best treatment of an AT cut. We’ve had a few posters/bloggers here who’ve had their ATs cut — mostly in ways that make me shudder. Closing screen doors, sheets of broken glass. . . EWWW!!

Me, I’ve ALWAYS been paranoid when a shopping cart is “tailgating” me in a supermarket, starting LONG before my first ATR. . . Wonder if I was subconsciously guarding a weak spot?

At 21 weeks to the day, I was able to do a single leg calf raises. It was five days later than my PT had predicted. It’s been a huge mental gain for me as I didn’t think it would ever happen. All the other milestones just came naturally without much thought: I just stopped [...]
