Happy New Year.

Had the all clear yesterday to start strengthening the leg! Off to the physio and he had me doing simple calf raises - what a feeling! Very odd in my leg but I guess that is to be expected :-)

I’m not on any fancy calf raises yet and am seeing him again next week, so just balancing, stretching and now up on my toes!

Looking forward to getting back to some sort of normal. ┬áIt’s been an interesting last 13 weeks, one I won’t be repeating hopefully!

    Sounds good! Just one tip: Make the eccentric contraction (coming down) slow, instead of a quick up-down, that will certainly help building strength.

    Are you doing one-off heel raises at 13 weeks?? If so, go to the head of the class. But stay INCREMENTAL. Don’t do anything too strenuous for you to be able to do at least 8-10 reps, many say even more during rehab. And then wait a DAY before heaping on any more. Then you can gradually act like a weight lifter body builder…
