New found freedom

Well with the cast finally off and wearing shoes with lifts after four days I am down to one crutch under the opposite arm from the bad leg. I tried it for the first time yesterday and was surprised how well my balance and strength were. Definately not graceful or pretty to look at but I now have a free hand which is different and really comes in handy (no pun intended). I went to two stores today just to get out and brought in only one crutch in both stores. Not a slip or stumble. First stop was for some new New Balance tennis shoes for some better heal support then the grocery store for some weekend food. My wife went with me and is still amazed at what an improvement Ive made over last few days since the cast came off Tuesday.
I am able to walk without any crutches but I feel the need for just in case stability. I even took a real shower tonight standing up for the first time in almost 2 months and I feel so much cleaner than a bath. I have a new found motivation to continue to heal and move on with the life I once knew but with the rerupture stories I will continue to be cautious. I cant imagine having to start over again after going through this injury once. I really feel it for the recent reruptures. Sorry guys.
My new goals for the next few weeks is to continue to gain ROM and lose the last crutch before my next Dr. appointment on July 15. He will then decide if I am in need for PT and hopefully say I have a green light to play golf again soon.
I know I have read somewhere here about messaging the scar tissue and AT and how much that helps with healing. If anyone has any advice on this I would love to know.
