I haven’t blogged for a very long time, but felt I needed to update for my own piece of mind. It is now around 8/9 months since I snapped my right achilles and I don’t really notice it on a daily basis. I am starting to train a little bit harder now, but the worst thing is the amazing of weight I have put on and how I have lost my fitness dramatically. If my achilles broke when I was fit, I dread to think what damage I could do now!
I am trying to find out whether I should be wearing some kind of compression support as I start to train and kick a football again. Any one have any ideas?
If any of you new Achilles club want to ask any questions please free to ask away.
cheers,
Ross

I’d only use compression if you need it to control swelling. If you’re up to full-speed broken-field runni g at 8-9 months, you’re doing well!
