    How long you will be out of work depends on what you do for a living. I can’t work until I can walk alot on uneven grounds and climb on and off locomotives so my doctor said at least 4 months.

    My hubby is in law enforcement and one of his co-workers ATR’d a while back. He got tired of working the desk so he fudged a little and returned to the street at about 3 1/2 months post-op. Those boots you guys have to wear provide a little protection. He avoided foot chases for a couple of months but he did okay. Unfortunately he has a lot of problems with scar tissue now so he may have to go back under the knife.

    My hubby is in law enforcement and one of his co-workers ATR’d a while back. He got tired of working the desk so he fudged a little and returned to the street at about 3 1/2 months post-op.
