Who is Bernard
I am a self-employed architect, living and working in London, England.

The picture on the title block is a 70 bed nursing home I designed a few years back in 2002 / 2003, opened in 2005.
I ruptured my left achilles tendon at about 4pm 10th August 2008, playing tennis. I like playing tennis, but it had been about a year since I had pick up a racket, and it was just going to be a knock about with the boys (my teenage sons), however my wife and I met some friends at the local courts who challenged us to game, hence the competitive spirit got the better of me, and hence so did my tendon.
I chose the conservative route of treatment.
