Thanks for the advice. I am familiar with the tens device but not the other one. The currents I am using mimic those found in nature and are much less than currents you get from living near electrical appliances. ( 10^-12 amps ) . As for the doctors been there done that. They tell me to stay off it and then prescribe exercise. It is obvious that one chief source of difficulty is that in the healing process damage is done with out being aware of it. You could do the same thing I am doing by hiking on the beach barefoot in the wet sand.

I think you should go get checked out by an orthopedic surgeon fast! What you are doing is basically stunning your nerves so you can’t feel the pain- my guess is the damage is still there and probably getting worse! Don’t futz around with your foot. You could be causing re-injury and scar tissue build-up on your achilles.

My strong suspicion is that your set-up is working like a TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) unit. You get pain relief when you have the thing on, but pain returns because you really aren’t getting any healing from it. This isn’t a professional diagnosis, just my opinion.

Please before you continue with this electro. therepy research what effect it will have on tissue your trying to heal. My researsh stated in no short terms that this therepy was very counter productive for healing of tendons. I know electro. is used for many other types of injury, but just not tendons.
Continue to think outside of the box, I have with very good results. Information is out there!!
