Page3) Weeks 3-4

My 2nd follow-up appointment with the surgeon is scheduled for Monday September 12th.  I am hoping that all of the stitches will come out at that appointment and I hope that the doctor will allow me to do some sort of more aggressive rehab.  Maybe I can use my bike trainer with my boot on?  This may be overly optimistic.  We will see.  I continue to move the foot up, down, and side to side several times a day.  My calf muscle is much smaller than the left calf muscle.  I do feel some soreness when lifting my foot and toes up….i assume this is normal and not a big deal.  I wash the surgery site daily by running water over it, no baths.  The foot should not be submerged.

NFL football season starts this week!  That is something to look forward to.  I have a Fantasy team and big dreams of winning my fantasy league ;-)
