Add me to team rupture!

Hi all!

Just found out I have a Achilles rupture - need to determine how bad so am doing a follow up.

Mine occurred on vacation playing Tennis in Maui.  Staying positive, but originally felt sorry for myself.  I am thinking this blog is a good venue to track  my experience and to share with others.

    TONS of valuable info here. I recommend spending some time at this site prior to doc’s visits. i know i felt very informed going into the surgical consult. My surgeon might not have liked it, but it definatly helped. good luck!

    Hope that was on the last day of your vacation & you were able to enjoy Maui before it happened! Keep us posted! Lots of good info here as well as others to go thru it with you. Good luck!

    Hello,
    I’ve had 3 ACL ruptures( all in the same knee I hasten to add) so I know what you’re going through - its a bugger of an injury on a par with the dreaded Achilles.

    Technology has moved on a bit since I had my surgery so I’ll be v interested to hear what the Doc has planned for you.

    abenergy - Sorry to hear that you’ve had an ACL rupture. Keep us posted on your progress. Are you going the surgery route?
